Undergraduate Research Publications Workshop and the Sam Burgess Undergraduate Student Research Award

Students, if you’ve ever wanted to share your research or creative work or if you’ve heard that publishing is only for faculty, this workshop is for you!  Learn about the growth of student research journals, (including at IU), opportunities at IU for open access publishing, steps in the process of publication submission, and how the IU Libraries can support you through the research and publishing process.  Pizza will be provided for lunch.  Jan 30 2014 – 12:00pm to 1:30pm in Wells Library 043 with Andrea Baer and Jen Laherty.  More information here: http://libprod.lib.indiana.edu/tools/workshops/workshop-listings/series-view/286/series.

Second, please make your students aware of a great opportunity to receive a scholarship and recognition for their undergraduate research through the IU Libraries Burgess Award.  The application deadline is February 28th.  More information and application materials can be found here: http://www.libraries.iub.edu/index.php?pageId=280&newsId=995.
