This weekend, the IU Women’s Student Association will be presenting Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues. This show is a series of stories about the experience of being a woman, and was inspired by accounts shared with Ensler by real women across the globe. Shows are Friday (2/14) and Saturday (2/15) at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday (2/16) at 2:00 p.m. in Rawles Hall 100. Tickets are $5 with a valid IU I.D., and $8 without. All proceeds from tickets and merchandise will go to Middle Way House, a local shelter for victims of domestic violence, and the international V-Day Campaign, which benefits women and girls around the world.
Additionally, on Thursday (2/20), Personal Monologues will be held in the Collins Coffee House. This is an opportunity for woman-identified individuals to share their own creations about life as a woman in a supportive, open environment. This even will be free, although merchandise may be sold, and all are welcome to attend.
