SOC-IU Grad School Panel Night

Calling all sociology students (majors AND minors!)

Are you considering going to graduate school in sociology but don’t know if it’s for you?  Never fear!  SOC-IU, IU’s undergraduate sociology club, will be holding a panel discussion on graduate sociology programs!  Panelists will include Professors Ethan Michelson and Brian Powell, as well as current graduate students Emma Cohen, Peter Lista, and Syndee Knight.  The panelists will discuss the graduate school application process, what it’s like to be a graduate student in sociology, and careers that you can pursue with a Master’s or PhD in sociology.  If there is time, the discussion may also include alternate graduate school options that sociology majors can pursue, such as law, public health, and counseling.

The event will take place on Monday, February 24 at 7:00 PM in Ballantine Hall Room 219.  Come find out what graduate school in sociology is all about!

See you there!

Sincerely yours,
Deborah Backman
