Although you may not be able to tell it by the flurries in the air, spring is just around the corner, and we would appreciate your help in informing students about the 12th Annual Indiana University Health Programs Fair, which will take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Indiana Memorial Union Alumni Hall. The Health Programs Fair provides a great opportunity for students interested in careers in healthcare to find out about educational programs on our campus and beyond. Students can meet directly with representatives from health profession school admissions offices, connect with volunteer agencies in the Bloomington area, and learn about majors, minors, and courses offered on our campus. The fair is free and open to the public. It can be especially helpful for advisors to encourage students to attend the fair who may need or want to do some contingency planning and explore alternate career paths or a possible “Plan B.” Some students come to the fair initially interested in only one type of program but once they are there they learn about a wide variety of ways to work in areas related to healthcare.
