Topic: Intersex Matters — presented by Cindy Stone
Join this presentation for a discussion of intersex health conditions and how it affects 1 in 2,000 babies born every day all over the world. You’ll also hear a first-person account of growing up as an intersexed woman with Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, not knowing that doctors had lied and withheld the truth about her diagnosis until much later in life. How she has come to embrace her body, syndrome and identity, and you’ll hear about her support work today in the field of intersex education and living a life free of any shame.
